THE TOUR: 

The Burgundy region offers a natural heritage, rich in both history and specialty in art. Since ancient times, its geographical position mad it a crossroads for communications between "The Mediterranean and Northern Europe" which brought great prosperity as its famous wines magnified during the Middle Ages. Region of famous abbeys, departure point for the crusades and pilgrimage centre, Burgundy has attracted the crowds and political figureheads throughout the centuries.

ITINERARY: 
We take the Southern highway and reach the Serein valley at Chablis, surrounded by vineyards: visit to a local cellar and taste the white wine, one of the world's best.  We continue to Vezelay, "the eternal hill" village classified by Unesco as one of its cultural world heritage sites: guided visit of the basilica dedicated to Saint Mary-Madeleine, centre of Romanesque architecture and sculpture. Then enjoy free time to browse around the village and maybe to taste some other Burgundy wines before returning to Paris.
