Since the ealiest parts of the Chateau were bults (the first owner was the king's tax collector), Chateau de la Menaudiere has stood through many noteworthy historical events.

From 1515, François 1er ruled France from the nearthy town of Blois. He invited Leonardo de Vinci to the area, who settled at the Clos Lucé. They imagined "le Château de Chambord". In 1547 was added the dance gallery to the bridge of "Château de Chenonceau", "Catherine la Bâtisseuse" was masterpiece.
