Piazza Duomo. From here begins your discovery of the amazing complex of monuments that characterise the religious

centre of Florence: the Cathedral with its incredible Brunelleschi dome, the Baptistery of San Giovanni with the Porta del

Paradiso (Gates of Paradise) and the elegant Giotto bell tower, the loveliest in all of Italy.

The walk continues along lively Via Calzaioli in the heart of the city, where you can admire the imposing and singular

Orsanmichele Church, a masterpiece of Florentine gothic art, decorated with shrines with statues of the patron saints of

 the powerful medieval trade guilds. Then we reach the bustling Mercato della Paglia (Straw Market): don’t forget to rub

Continuing on, you can admire the romantic, picturesque Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, with its renowned

Your  exciting  guided tour  will start at Palazzo Pitti going backwards through the ideal “Prince’s Itinerary”, to see from the outside the suggestive elevated passageway which connects the Palazzo Vecchio with the Palazzo Pitti, in the Oltrarno district, passing  though the Uffizi Gallery and over the Ponte Vecchio.  You will cross Ponte Vecchio ,  one of the city's best known images , famous for its  gleaming gold shops. Along the way that will lead us to Siena, the first emotion is the enchanting view of Monteriggioni from the

panoramic windows of the bus: the amazing spectacle of a small medieval village enclosed by its famous

walls, which remained standing to this day.

Upon arrival in Siena, we meet the local guide, at our disposal for two hours, who takes us on a

comprehensive guided tour of the historic center, starting from the famous Basilica of San Domenico

(inside visit), a jewel of Renaissance art built in the 13th century and dedicated to St. Catherine of Siena,

of which preserves a relic.

We will walk along the narrow medieval streets of the city, flanked by splendid palaces and historic shops,

until we reach the spectacular Cathedral of the 12 th century, of which we can admire the magnificent

architecture and the splendor of the polychrome marbles.

The tour continues then with the visit of the Museum and Oratory of a Contrada* (exclusive opening),

where we can experience the atmosphere of the authentic and most intimate soul of the town.

The “Contrade” (districts into which the city is divided) are the real core of local social life, where

inhabitants of each district compete with each other, as they devote themselves to the preparation of the

famous Palio horse-race. The Museum of a ”Contrada”, as well as its Oratory, is therefore the heart of the

district. It is an intimate and secret place containing historical documents and wonderful relics of the

famous Palio, as well as magnificent works of art which are normally not disclosed to the public.

The guided tour of Siena ends in its most beautiful square, Piazza del Campo, of which the Palazzo

Pubblico (Town Hall) is the focal point.

In the afternoon we reach San Gimignano, a small and world famous walled town located on a hilltop,

which remained intact through the centuries, renowned for its tall towers, wonderful frescoes and many

In the evening, crossing the gently Chianti rolling hills, we will arrive to a small and typical Winery where,

after a short walk in the ancient vineyards, we will visit the suggestive barrique room and taste 4 fantastic

wines, sampling also locally produced zero food miles. Finally, we will stop in the picturesque village of

Greve in Chianti, to admire its famous main square flanked by arcades and browse through the local

Depart for Siena, driving through the lovely Chianti vineyards, getting there while the town is still immersed in early morning drowsiness; the perfect time of day to wander around the pedestrian-friendly heart of this beautiful hilltop town, drenched in history. Upon arrival in Siena our local guide will take you on a guided walking tour along the small medieval streets and squares, passing passing the oldest bank in the world, and the Piazza del Campo - site of the famous 600-year-old Palio horse-race, to the spectacular Cathedral.

During your free time, stroll through Siena at your own pace. 

A short journey then takes us to a family run wine-farm in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Here we shall have a delicious, traditional Tuscan lunch of fresh, homemade products straight off the farm, including handmade pasta and homemade cured meats, salad and typical local cheese, all served with plenty of wine from the region: Vernaccia from San Gimignano, Chianti and Vin Santo (dessert wine).

After lunch, departure for San Gimignano, Unesco world heritage, famous for the still intact mediaeval town planning. It is often nicknamed the “Manhattan of the Middle Ages” because its famous tall, narrow towers create a skyline that looks a bit like a modern city.

Here you have free time to explore the town centre, the charming craftsmen’s shops along the cobbled stone streets and small squares.

From San Gimignano, we drive past hilltop hamlets, or little churches, scattered over some of the most beautiful and enchanting countryside. We finally wind down the hillsides towards the coast, to Pisa, our last destination for the day. Getting off the coach, we reach the Field of Miracles, a green grass field dominated by the dazzling white buildings of the Cathedral or Duomo, the Tower and the Baptistery - exquisite examples of Pisan Romanesque architecture: the Leaning Tower is almost 56 meters tall (about 183 ft).

It leans at about 4 degrees, making it one of the most famous and iconic buildings in the world.

Enter the heart of real Tuscany with medieval villages of incomparable charm, an ancient farming tradition that produces wine, cheese, cold cuts and excellent meat renowned and appreciated all over the world even today.
The beauty of the landscape declines harmoniously where nature and the works of man have lived together for centuries in an unbeatable balance.
Through the hilly expanses of the old vineyards and olive groves, which characterise the splendid Chianti territory we reach Greve where we you will enjoy the charm of its historic square flanked by open galleries and wander around the characteristic shops of local handicrafts and the typical Chianti products.
We continue with a stop in Castellina, a characteristic ancient hamlet perched on a hill, where we visit a suggestive and historical cellar.
Just outside the village, in one of the most famous vineyards of the area, you will be guided through a tasting of different wines of the Chianti area, extra virgin olive oil on Tuscan bread, vin santo with "cantuccini" locally produced and lavender honey.
Proceeding along a panoramic road we can admire the picturesque village of Monteriggioni, a small medieval jewel still surrounded by its ancient walls.
Further on, the unmistakable clay landscape clay of the Crete Senesi, a hilly desert territory that rouses unforgettable feelings.
Continuing we reach an area that contrasts incredibly with the Crete territory, immersed in the green Val d'Orcia, UNESCO heritage, a harmonious landscape of hills dotted with cypresses, interrupted by castles, churches, ancient villages of Etruscan origin and farms that accompany the route of the famous "Via Francigena".
Here, in a historic farm, you will be served a guided lunch-tasting of the renowned Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello and Supertuscan wines and a large selection of typical products of the territory and a delicious homemade fruit pie. All this is followed by a visit to the cellars and some leisure time to enjoy the nature. We then make a stop in the medieval village of Montalcino, with boundary walls enriched with towers, with the imposing fourteenth century fortress that offers one of the most beautiful views onto Val d’Orcia.
Moltalcino has also narrow streets with dozens of wineries and artisans’ shops selling products of the territory.
Lastly, after a short journey on a panoramic road, we reach Montepulciano, enclosed by fortified walls and perched on a hill 600 metres above sea level between Val d’Orcia and Val di Chiana.
The town is renowned for its Noble wine obtained from the surrounding vineyards.
A stop in the town to take a walk along the steep streets and elegant squares and admire the splendid Renaissance buildings and churches, and a visit to one of the many wine-cellars of the old town to taste delicious wine.
