TOUR # 1 - Ephesus Ancient City, House of Virgin Mary, Temple of Artemis
 
Kusadasi - Tour 1

Duration : 5 Hours

Meet at Kusadasi harbor and continue to Ephesus.
Arrival to Ephesus - Enter through the Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of this Roman provincial capital. Your route takes you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theater. The theater had seating for 24,000, which was the site where it is believed St. Paul preached to the Ephesians, and is used today for a local spring festival.
House of the Virgin Mary - The Vatican has recognized this small house in the Solmissos Mountains as the final resting place of the Virgin Mary. A small shrine dedicated to St. Mary was found when the ruins of the house were first discovered.
The Temple of Artemis, which had been built at first during the Archaic period, today it's known one of the Seven Wonders of Ancient World.

TOUR # 2 - Sirince Culinary
 
Kusadasi - Tour 2

Duration : 6 Hours

Meet at Kusadasi harbor and continue to Sirince.
A day devoted to the delights of Turkish cuisine. We will be taught the art of making Yaprak Dolma and Manta in a village kitchen overlooking the sweeping olive groves. Yaprak Dolma - stuffed vine leaves- a dish best made as a group when after preparing the mixture the leaves can be filled while chatting. Manta on the other hand is the Turkish equivalent of ravioli, parcel shaped and served with garlic flavored yogurt, tomato sauce and melted butter. We will of course sample the efforts of our labors. In the afternoon we are invited to gather seasonal ripe fruit from a local farm followed by a free evening.

TOUR # 3 - Selcuk Carpet Making & Culinary
Kusadasi - Tour 3

Duration : 6 Hours

Meet at Kusadasi harbor and continue to Selcuk.
This will be the first day for learning the ancient art of carpet making with an exceptional expert as our tutor in this field - we will hear about the design motifs, the symbolism, yarn spinning, natural dye methods and types of looms. We will be shown how to make a single& double knot, how to read a design from a graph and how to create our own ideas surrounded by exceptional kilm and carpet examples in a typical village workshop In the evening we will be shown the preparation of Central Anatolian cuisine different in its nature from Aegean specialties.
