Your Day Tour of the Amalfi Coast & Pompeii begins with your driver and guide picking you up at your centrally located hotel in Rome. In an Air-conditioned mini-bus with a local expert guide arrive at Positano. One of the most charming towns along the Amalfi coast where white & pastel colored houses litter the hillside. Along with the beautiful beaches, its ancient fishing port, & the splendid majolica dome of the church of Santa Maria Assunta - taste the "Dolce Vita".

Then, your Day Tour of the Amalfi Coast will continue with a boat ride (public boat*)from Positano to Amalfi to enjoy a new perspective of the spectacular scenery of the Amalfi Coast. In the town of Amalfi , take a guided tour of the labyrinth of narrow lanes and alleyways that climb the surrounding hills. Try the local Limoncello drink or visit the celebrated "Paradise Cloister" built in Arabian style from the 13th century. And enjoy lunch at a local Pizzeria (included in tour price!).

Then, we continue your Day Tour of Pompeii & the Amalfi Coast visiting the the famous ruins. At Pompeii, with a leading expert on the ruins, visit the interiors of the homes of Pompeii's wealthier citizens, Ancient street café's where locals dined & where you'll learn about traditional Roman cuisine, the amphitheatre where we'll talk of the Gladiators and the events staged in the arena. As well as enjoying numerous anecdotes about life in Pompeii, a special day awaits you!

Your Day Tour of the Amalfi Coast & Pompeii will finish back at your hotel in central Rome. PLEASE NOTE: This is a 13-hour tour, the only way you can see Pompeii & the Amalfi Coast on an organized tour in one-day.

* Entrance fees to Pompeii not included in the price of the tour 11Euro per person.

* Public boats stop operating on the Amalfi Coast around the the 3rd week of October. When the transfer is not feasible by boat a scenic drive from Positano to Amalfi will substitute the boat ride.

* Hotel Pick-up / Drop-off: This service is included in the price of your Pompeii & Amalfi Day Tour for the vast majority of hotels in Rome. For hotels located at the airport and further afield we charge a small supplement for a private transfer to connect with the tour. At the time of booking we will advise you if there are any additional costs before processing your reservation.
